Herbal Perfumes vs Alcohol-Based Perfumes

Herbal Perfumes vs Alcohol-Based Perfumes

I know we all want to smell great, enabling us to feel great as well! But do you also realize that consequently, you are losing on your health? Yes! You guessed it right, I am talking about perfumes. When we talk about perfumes, generally, you can split them into two broad categories, Alcohol-based fragrances, and herbal perfumes. Apart from the overwhelming odour that alcohol-based perfumes provide, there are many more disadvantages it offers to your health! Herbal perfumes are less popular and less known to the world than alcohol-based perfumes due to a lack of branding and education; however, herbal aromas contain fewer chemicals and fillers and do not contain dehydrating chemicals compared to the latter. Perfumes are a fantastic mixture of several aromatic components known to be obtained through natural resources! However, when we talk about alcohol-based perfumes, they are laced with several synthetic chemicals linked to a bucket full of diseases such as cancer, allergies and so on. Leave your worries back home since the elements in a herbal perfume is entirely non- flammable and 100% chemical-free. In contrast, alcohol-based perfumes are highly flammable and can cause much damage to the human system when used for an extended period. Why should I use herbal perfume on my skin rather than alcohol-based fragrances if the latter has a more pungent smell? Over the years, the number of allergies, skin diseases and dry skin in people has increased, and along with that, the ability of the skin to retain scent has decreased a lot! So although alcohol base perfumes might have a more pungent aroma, herbal fragrances have a more lasting scent! Due to this, if you use herbal perfumes, not only does your skin hold on to the scent for a longer time, but it also gets moisturized. The added benefit is to leave those nasty trails of odours that several alcohol-based perfumes have! If we talk about how long herbal perfumes last compared to alcohol-based perfumes, the difference is quite significant; on average, a herbal fragrance lasts 6-6.5 hours while a traditional alcohol-based aroma barely retains its scent from 1-3 hours. So if smelling nice for a long time is truly your desire, now you know what to opt for! Are you worried about your skin? You need not if you go for a herbal perfume since they are less likely to cause any allergic reactions due to their components which are 100% natural, while alcohol-based perfumes use synthetic ingredients to increase the intensity of the smell of the scent, which can not only damage the skin but also affect your sense of smell! The next time you go perfume hunting, you know what to buy! The idea of perfume is not only to enrich your sense of smell but to also bring pleasantness and peace to your body, mind, and soul. So, what will you choose if one provides it and the other provides quite the opposite?
